In particular, in project development, revitalization projects and financing of existing properties mezzanine capital is an interesting alternative to the usually restrictedly available, but essentially important equity ratio. As additional funding block between equity and debt mezzanine capital replaces a part of the often strong equity base and thus provides the project developer with additional financial scope in the implementation of projects.
